Making a mash of things.

Some other/healthier/lower GI variants on normal potato mash:

  • Sweet potato
  • Sweet potato & potato
  • Sweet potato & butternut
  • Potato & butternut

You can also mix in finely chopped onion – raw or brazed, some garlic salt and paprika.
